The answer is  ‘As spring progresses, move north’. Corals are known to release their eggs and sperms in a synchronized fashion. The eggs are then carried by an underwater ‘blizzard’ (current) that increases the chances of fertilization of the eggs by the sperms. The underwater blizzards occur regularly in cycles such as during lunar cycles, certain times of the year, tides and water temperatures.
