If after pouring iodine on an uninoculated plate clearings as well as in the transferred plates it means that
1. THE EXPERIMENT WAS NOT CONDUCTED PROPERLY.
2. THE UNINOCULATED PLATE WAS CONTAMINATED AND SHOULD BE DISCARDED.
3. THE CULTURE MEDIUM WAS NOT PREPARED PROPERLY BECAUSE THE STARCH WAS NOT MIXED WELL.
4. THE EXPERIMENT SHOULD BE DONE AGAIN WITH PRECISION AND CARE.
