First let's distribute to our parenthesis to get:
4x-16<-2x+18+2
Not combine like terms on both sides:
4x-16<-2x+20
Let's add 2x to both sides:
6x-16<20
Add 16 to both sides:
6x<36
Divide by 6:
X<6
