If you roll a fair six-sided die and a fair four-sided die, what is the probability that the dice add to 6 or higher?

Respuesta :

If you roll a fair six-sided die and a fair four-sided die then theses are the possible events which I have attached in the table.

Hence, total number of events= 6*4 =24

And there are total 14 events which addition result 6 or higher.

So, probability=[tex] \frac{Number of eventrs which addition result6 or higher}{Total number of events} [/tex]

=[tex] \frac{14}{24} [/tex]

=[tex] \frac{7}{12} [/tex]
