question is which of the following equations has both 1 and -3 as solutions? even though i do find the answer on here i would like to know how to get the answer.
Thanks in advance

Respuesta :

Where are the equations and then I am happy to help.

[tex] x^{2} +2x-3[/tex] =0 is the answer
Factor it (x+3)(x-1)
Set each to 0 x+3=0 and x-1=0
Solve each for x  x=-3 and x=1

Ta da :)

Hope that helps
