Breadth/width=12cm

So the rectangle is 3x by x

We are given the perimeter, so well solve with that.

All four sides equal 3x+x+3x+x=8x

So 8x=96

When we solve for x, we get x=12

Since x=12, we know this is the breadth.

We know 3 times this is the length so:

12x3=36!
