If the length of an arc is 12 inches and the radius of the circle is 10 inches, what is the measure of the arc?
I don't get this, keep getting it wrong. Can someone lead me through it???? PLZ

Respuesta :

Assuming you are working in radians, the length of a circular arc is given by the definition of te radian:

[tex] s =r\theta [/tex] which can be re-arranged to [tex] \theta = \frac{s}{r} [/tex]

Using supplied known values:
[tex] \theta = \frac{12}{10} = 1.2 radians [/tex]
