Can someone tell me how social media for teens can be a distraction when it comes to their education

Social media will distract teens because they are most likely to gi onto their phone while their trying to study ti checksomething, or instead of remembering a formula they'll be remembering last night's convo.

It puts false information into their brain and it distracts them from the specific curriculum they are learning.
