The work of Christiaan Huygens, Carlo Rinaldini, Isaac Newton, and Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit resulted in the development of the standard scale of thermometers, instead of sticking to scales that they created on their own. For instance, Newton defined as "zeroth degree of heat" as melting snow, and 33 degrees as boiling water. So this development resulted in the development of a standard scale of thermometers.
