To what extend was America the land of opportunity for immigrants during the late 1800s and early 1900s?

Respuesta :

Well i cant really answer this exactly because this is something that would be found in your text book if you do some digging but if its a generalized question I would answer it as "During the late 1800 and early 1900 America provided significant opportunity for migrants.  The 1800's marked the beginning of the industrial revolution and the early 1900's was a time of prosperity and growth for the American people. This prosperity helped the average migrant/american buy new cars and luxury items once thought to only be for the elite." i mean like idk if this will help you in answering your question but best of luck

Answer:

In the late 1800s, people in many parts of the world decided to leave their homes and immigrate to the United States. Fleeing crop failure, land and job shortages, rising taxes, and famine, many came to the U. S. because it was perceived as the land of economic opportunity.
