Jason spent half of his allowance going to the ;movies. He washed the family car and earned 8 dollars. What is his weekly allowance if he ended with 11 dollars.

Your equation would be x/2 +8=11 . 11-8 =3 so x/2=3 multiply by 2 to get rid of the denominator x=6

=$11
