To solve this question, one way to do it is to simply move the 35 over to the other side and then find out what 2 number would multiply to give -35.

Which would also add to give 2. This would be 7 and -5.

Thus the factored values would be

(X+7)(X-5).

answer is x2-2x=35

Two solutions were found :


    x = 7

    x = -5
