You happen to notice that a patient on the telemetry unit has an abnormal rhythm. You reach the patient's bedside to find the 40-year-old man apparently sleeping. There is no indication in his medical record that he has had an arrhythmia. His rhythm strip showed the following:

a) Normal sinus rhythm
b) Sinus bradycardia
c) Ventricular tachycardia
d) Atrial fibrillation
