100 POINTS!!
Review the image below. Pick two states that are labeled on the map. Using the information you learned about climate zones and the image below, describe the climate you would expect for the two states that you chose.
In part two of this assessment, you will use research to support the claim below.
Claim for Investigation: Changes in climate have influenced human activity.
Questions:
1. Using your research tools, identify human activities that can be affected by the regional climates of the states you selected. (For example, if a state is near a coastline what human activities along that coastline have been affected by the region's climate?)
2. Gather at least three pieces of evidence to support the claim above. Explore the cause and effect relationship between changes in climate and human activity. The evidence should include data that shows each of the following:
a. Impact on human society (population size and migration patterns)
b. Impact on development of technology in modern civilization
c. Impact on human activity (such as agriculture)
3. Use reasoning to explain how your evidence supports the claim. Be sure to explain how your evidence shows the cause (changes in climate) and the effect (human activity).
4. You must cite each source from where you found your evidence. For assistance, review these tips for evaluating resources. You can also refer to one of the following web sites:
