10m : 1h = 3m : x
10x = 3
x = 3/10
x = 0.3 of an hour
0.3 x 60 = 18 minutes

3 miles/10 miles/hour = 0.3hours

0.3 hours x 60 minutes/1 hour = 18 minutes

If a man ran 10 mph, it would take him 18 minutes to run 3 miles.
